Workflow

A consumer product company signs up to use Sojourner to allow its users to approve
PO's & PR's from their mobile devices. Sojourner was selected to both automate and
streamline what could be a very complicated procurement approval process.

E-mail Notification:
Sojourner can send automatic e-mail alerts when a requisition is ready to be reviewed.
Then, when it has been approved, or requires modification, further notifications
can be sent to the appropriate individual.

Routing for Approvals:
Sojourner implements unlimited levels of approval hierarchy so that you can match approval
routing to your business practices. Users and roles can appear multiple times in the approval
hierarchy, and approval requests can be submitted to multiple approvers.

Multiple person Approval Routing:
Sojourner can allow for more than one person in the approval chain to approve a requisition;
this can avoid delays that may ensue when the initial approver is unable to respond,
on vacation, or out of the office.

Approval by individual or by role:
Sojourner can handle approval rights by individual or by role, providing the flexibility for any
individual or role to approve the requisition. Examples of role-based approval rights include the
accounting, administrative assistant, and project manager roles.

Approval Limits by Individual or role:
Sojourner can set approval limits by individual or by role, helping ensure that top manager approval
is obtained for large requisitions.

Approval Hierarchies:
Sojourner can define approval hierarchies on company basis, or can have a single hierarchy for
multiple companies.

Manager Rights:
Managers can approve or reject requisitions, modify requisitions to include specific information
such as item numbers or accounts, or return the requisition to the originator for more information.
